Mayor Bowser to Attend Swearing In of Law Enforcement Ahead of 58th Presidential Inauguration

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Thursday, Mayor Bowser will deliver remarks at the swearing in of all external law enforcement officers who will be working under the Metropolitan Police Department’s command during the 58th Presidential Inauguration. Outside law enforcement agencies have participated in Inauguration Day ceremonies since the 1890s, and this year, over 3,000 officers from more than 200 departments will serve in Washington, DC.
